Forschungsinhalt:

Es werden epidemiologische, diagnostische und therapeutische Fragestellungen der Medizinischen Mikrobiologie mit Schwerpunkten auf den Gebieten Bakteriologie, Mykologie und Parasitologie erarbeitet. Dabei ist die interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit mit klinisch-tätigen Kollegen besonders hervorzuheben.
